TURKEY has committed to assist the Philippine Navy (PN) in future training initiatives for submarine and surface ship operations.
Turkish ambassador to the Philippines Niyazi Evren Akyol conveyed the pledge during a visit to the Philippine Naval Station Roxas Blvd., Manila, last June 5.

He met with Philippine Navy commander Vice Admiral Jose Ma. Ambrosio Ezpeleta to discuss potential collaborations between the two countries.
“(During the meeting) he (Akyol) also expressed Türkiye’s readiness to support future training and education programs for submarine and surface ship operations in partnership with the PN,” the Navy said in a statement.
