Members of the Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) Field Artillery Battalion, along with reservists from the Marine Battalion Reserve, conducted a gun drill exercise on Sunday, June 1, at the 4th Marine Brigade camp in Burgos, Ilocos Norte.

According to PMC, the exercise involved 105mm and 155mm howitzers assets.

“This gun drill exercise served as crucial preparation for the upcoming Counter-Landing Live Fire Exercise of KAMANDAG 09-2025 in Northern Luzon,” the PMC said.

The PMC also said the drill reinforced operational readiness for both active-duty and reserve forces of the Marines.

During the exercise, personnel from the PMC Field Artillery Battalion provided instruction to the Marine reservists.

Training focused on the standard operating procedures for howitzer gun drills.

“This exercise provided an invaluable opportunity for reservists to enhance their combat readiness and preparedness for national defense and crisis response,” the PMC added.
