Outgoing Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil urged all police personnel to support his successor, Police Major General Nicolas Torre III.
In a brief statement, Marbil expressed his sincere gratitude to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and the Filipino people for the trust placed in him as the 30th PNP Chief, and called on the entire police force to extend their full support to the incoming leader.
“PMGen Torre is a hardworking, proven, and principled officer. I have full confidence that he will continue to lead the PNP with integrity and clear direction,” Marbil said.
“I encourage every police officer and PNP staff to extend to him the same support and cooperation that you have extended to me,” he added.
Marbil also expressed his positive view that Torre will continue to lead the PNP to maintain the success of its anti-crime campaign.
As the leadership transition begins, the PNP chief emphasized the importance of unity and professionalism to maintain the police force’s momentum in implementing reforms aligned with the administration’s Bagong Pilipinas governance agenda.
