Santa Rosa City provides laptops to over 500 youth leaders

SANTA ROSA CITY, Laguna — More than 500 youth leaders from various barangays received free laptops from the city government as part of its digital empowerment and leadership development initiative.

Led by Santa Rosa City Mayor Arlene Arcillas and Vice Mayor Arnold Arcillas, the distribution took place during the recent Youth Empowerment Forum at the Santa Rosa Arena. The event aimed to equip young leaders with tools to enhance their digital skills and community engagement.

“We believe in investing in our youth as they represent the future of Santa Rosa,” Mayor Arcillas said during the event. “These laptops are not merely devices but tools that will enable our young leaders to expand their knowledge, develop new skills, and better serve their communities.”

Vice Mayor Arcillas added that the initiative supports the city’s push for digital inclusion. “access to technology is crucial for personal and professional growth. Through this program, we aim to bridge the digital divide and empower our youth with resources necessary for success,” he said.

The forum also featured workshops on digital literacy, leadership training, and community service. City officials said the program is part of a broader effort to strengthen youth participation in local governance and prepare them for future leadership roles.

The initiative highlights Santa Rosa City’s continued commitment to education, technology access, and inclusive development.
