Jubahib to continue hospital, infra programs in Davao

Reelected Davao del Norte Governor Edwin Jubahib said he will continue the province’s zero-billing hospitalization program and push for more infrastructure projects during his third term.

Jubahib, who ran with his daughter Clarice as vice governor, defeated Representatives Alan Dujali and Pantaleon Alvarez. He said the tandem will now be able to advance key development initiatives.

Among his priorities is establishing a province-wide water system, which he said was previously delayed due to unreliable power supply in the first district.

With Davao Light set to take over, Jubahib believes the project can now move forward, aiming to provide safe and stable water access to every household.

Meanwhile, in New Corella, Mayor Monet B. Federiso secured reelection, though she was unable to attend her proclamation following the fatal shooting of her brother, Jundy Federiso, on election day. Police continue to investigate.
