The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has confiscated about one kilo of suspected shabu worth P6.8 million and arrested a suspected pusher in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Carlos, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur.
The joint operation was led by the PDEA with support from the local police, the Philippine Army and the Philippine Coast Guard last Wednesday, May 7.
The suspect was identified as Nasrodin Macari Acmad, 32, a tricycle driver of Barangay Poblacion, Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Lanao del Norte.
He was taken in custody after selling a vacuum-sealed transparent pack containing some 1,000 grams of suspected shabu to a PDEA poseur-buyer in Purok Santa Cruz.
Authorities also seized several non-drug items including a paper bag, plastic containers, a cellular phone, a Kawasaki motorcycle with sidecar, and the buy-bust marked money.
Drug charges were being readied against the suspect.
