Catholic educators: Defend democracy

The Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) has called on voters to uphold democracy and discernment in choosing leaders on election day, May 12.

In a statement, CEAP emphasized that elections are a vital expression of charity and urged voters to reject candidates linked to patronage, political dynasties, corruption, and authoritarianism.

The group called on Filipinos to vote with “Christ-centered” hope, aspiring for unity, peace, and national progress.
