The Central Luzon police force reported having resolved a total of 146 cases of corruption in their ranks last month following the launch of an intensified drive against corruption in the ranks.
In a statement , the Central Luzon Police Office said the resolved cases were mostly administrative in nature, such as grave misconduct, serious neglect of duty, and conduct unbecoming of a police officer.
According to Region 3 police director and concurrent Philippine National Police spokesperson
Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, her command “continues to push for the internal cleansing program in its ranks, in line with the directive of PNP chief, Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil.”
Fajardo also urged the public to continue to collaborate with the authorities and immediately report any irregularities or corruption involving policemen in their community.
