BPSU gets 100% passing for midwifery

Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) achieved a 100% passing rate in the April 2025 Midwifery Licensure Examination, with all 82 examinees passing and three ranking among the Top 10, including the Top 1 spot.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) named BPSU the top-performing school nationwide.

BPSU President and concurrent College of Midwifery Dean Ruby Santos Matibag was praised for her leadership and commitment to excellence. “President Matibag’s vision for the college is now bearing fruit,” said Monica Hipolito, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Technology Transfer. Vice President for Academic Affairs Lara Velasco added that the university’s perfect score reflects its rigorous preparation programs.

Leading the topnotchers was Rona Marie V. Ramos, who clinched Top 1 with a 92.60% rating, followed by Arian R. Villaganes (Top 4) with 92.25% and Roberto A. Sibugan Jr. (Top 7) with 91.95%. “Our professors supported us every step of the way,” the successful examinees said.

The PRC reported that only 1,975 out of 3,444 examinees nationwide passed the April 2025 exam, for a national passing rate of 57.35%.
