Kia Philippines recently celebrated the graduation of the inaugural batch from its Kia Technician’s Boot Camp (KTBC). The program aims to develop Filipino automotive technicians with world-class skills, capable of maintaining both traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and modern electric vehicles (EVs). Launched in September 2024, KTBC provides intensive training in maintenance, repair, and diagnostics for gasoline, hybrid, and electric vehicles. Conducted at the Kia Training Center in Carmona, Cavite, in partnership with Don Bosco Makati and Batangas State University, the curriculum includes advanced technical skills and character development.
Top-performing cadets also gain the potential opportunity to represent the Philippines at the 12th Kia World Skills Cup in Seoul in 2026. To date, fifteen graduates are already employed across Kia’s dealership network, with the program set to welcome its second batch of cadets in August 2025.
