Louie Camacho was a major awardee, securing the coveted 2024 Driver of the Year honors for both the Rallycross and Rally disciplines. His success in the 2024 Philippine Rallycross Championships was also acknowledged, where he clinched overall champion titles in Group 2 and Group 3, alongside class champion wins in the UV and Pick-up categories. Expressing his gratitude, Camacho remarked, “It’s an honor and a blessing to receive this award for the second time.” He thanked his supporters and the AAP, stating, “Your continued support paves the road to those who love the sport.”
Joining him was John Rey San Diego, who was notably recognized as the first-ever recipient of the AAP’s “Rally Co-Driver of the Year” award. San Diego shared his surprise and appreciation, saying, “Growing up as a big fan of WRC, never had I thought that I would be awarded for being a co-driver. Seeing how everything comes full circle just makes me more thankful.” He also expressed thankfulness to his family and highlighted the importance of the award in recognizing navigators. San Diego also extended gratitude to his driver, Louie Camacho, acknowledging that the award wouldn’t have been possible without his talent.
