NCRPO reports success in drug campaigns

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has reported significant success in its relentless, balanced, and procedure-based campaign against illegal drugs in Metro Manila during the first quarter of 2025.

Under the leadership of Regional Director MGen Anthony Aberin, the NCRPO seized illegal narcotics valued at over P145 million and apprehended thousands of individuals involved in drug-related activities.

This intensified effort underscores the NCRPO’s commitment to ensuring peace and order throughout the National Capital Region and combating the proliferation of illegal substances.

Between January 1 and April 4, 2025, NCRPO operatives conducted a total of 2,386 anti-drug operations. These efforts led to the confiscation of an estimated ₱145,875,862.80 worth of illegal drugs and the arrest of 3,683 individuals linked to the drug trade. The seized substances include 21,273.25 grams of shabu (valued at ₱144,658,100), 7,977.69 grams of marijuana (valued at ₱957,322.80), 17.30 grams of cocaine (valued at ₱91,690), and 112.50 grams of kush (valued at ₱168,750).

Aberin emphasized the entire NCRPO’s commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for Metro Manila residents. He reiterated the force’s determination to aggressively pursue all forms of criminal activity, with a particular focus on eradicating drug-related offenses.
