Top triathlete Bea Quiambao checks her goggles prior to the swim leg of the 2025 Sunrise Standard Triathlon Recon Race in Catarman, Northern Samar on Sunday, marking the 60th founding anniversary of the province and the vibrant celebration of the annual Ibabao Festival. The event featured a 1.5km swim, 40km bike and 10km run, drawing athletes from across the region. Multi-titled champion Erica Burgos topped the women’s division, while Team Go for Gold’s John Patrick Ciron dominated the men’s category of the race served as both a competitive yet enjoyable sporting spectacle and a festive highlight of the province’s 60th founding anniversary celebration and the annual Ibabao Festival.
