With just days to go before the May 12 elections, Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas is gaining unstoppable momentum as its senatorial candidates land within the winning circle in the latest OCTA Research survey, solidifying the coalition’s standing as the dominant force in the 2025 midterms.
Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco called the survey results a strong validation of Alyansa’s people-centered platform and the overwhelming public trust in President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s vision of a “Bagong Pilipinas.”
“This is more than just a survey. This is the voice of a nation rising, rallying behind a new kind of leadership built on unity, performance and real reforms. Isa itong malakas na mensahe ng tiwala, paninindigan at pag-asa mula sa taumbayan,” Tiangco said.
Topping the list of Alyansa candidates in the survey conducted from April 20 to 24 is ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo, who ranked 1st to 2nd with a voter preference of 52.7 percent.
Former Senate President Tito Sotto followed with 42.3 percent (Rank 3-8), and former Sen. Pia Cayetano with 39.1 percent (Rank 3-10).
Also landing within the top tier are Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla (38.1 percent, Rank 3-10), Makati City Mayor Abby Binay (37.6 percent, Rank 3-11), Sen. Lito Lapid (35.6 percent, Rank 4-13), and former Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson (34.3 percent, Rank 5-16).
Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar (31.9 percent, Rank 6-17), former Sen. Manny Pacquiao (29.1 percent, Rank 10-20), and former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos (28.5 percent, Rank 10-20) continued their steady climb. Senate Majority Leader Francis “Tol” Tolentino garnered 25.2 percent (Rank 13-22), placing him within striking distance of the Magic 12.
“These numbers are the result of months of tireless campaigning, but more importantly, they reflect the public’s growing demand for competence, experience and patriotism in the Senate,” Tiangco said.
According to Tiangco, Alyansa remains focused on the final stretch of the campaign, with a scheduled sortie in Malolos, Bulacan, followed by the Miting de Avance in Mandaluyong City, where President Marcos is expected to deliver a final pitch for the entire Alyansa slate.
“We are on the cusp of a historic mandate, but the final decision still rests with the people. We urge every Filipino to choose leaders who will uphold national interest and push forward with real solutions for every Filipino family,” Tiangco said.
