“This strategic partnership with PrivCom is a concrete step towards operationalizing mutual accountability and enhancing enforcement cooperation on data protection,” said NPC commissioner John Henry Naga during the signing.

The MoU is designed to protect cross border data transfers, seen as crucial to economic development and international collaboration, by enabling closer coordination between the two data protection authorities.

With a notable Filipino community contributing to Bermuda’s workforce and economy, Naga cited the importance of ensuring consistent data privacy standards across borders.
