PTT Philippines Corp., a subsidiary of Thailand’s PTT Oil & Retail Business Public Company Ltd., said it plans to invest up to P1.5 billion to beef up its operations by expanding its retail network to at least 280 stations, install electric vehicle charging stations and bring its Café Amazon stores to 100 by 2030.
“Because we believe in Filipinos and the untap market in the Philippines, we are pouring in more investments in this country,” PTT Philippines president and chief executive Athiwat Rattanakorn said Friday.
The company is also studying putting up solar panels in all of the PTT stations and is eyeing to construct a new oil terminal.
PTT has 170 retail stations mostly located in Luzon, 8 Cafe Amazon stores and plans to install EV charging stations this year.
The company’s business segments in the Philippines include aviation, commercial, distribution, retail and non-oil and Café Amazon.
PTT Philippines launched its “Go with PTT” campaign, the company’s way of paying tribute to Filipinos’ nature of pursuing goals, dreams and other aspirations despite many challenges.
“That is our common denominator. PTT also aspire to keep on offering the best products and services and the idea of reliability that our customers could count on—a smooth experience that enhances journey, and a hassle-free operation that is focused on what matters most—the path forward,” Rattanakorn said.
“This campaign is not just a marketing ploy. We also want to be part of that journey of Filipinos, providing them products and services that of international standards, giving them savings in the process, and provide opportunities, among others,” he said.
He introduced OR as the oil and retail flagship of Thailand’s PTT Group that has close to 3,000 retail stations worldwide.
Apart from Thailand, the OR brand has presence in various countries like Saudi Arabia, Myanmar, Oman, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam and the Philippines.
