Xinyx Design, an integrated circuit design solutions company, and Ionics EMS, an electronics manufacturing firm, signed a memorandum of agreement on Feb. 21, 2025 to collaborate on product development and strengthen the semiconductor and electronics industry in the Philippines.
“This has been a long time coming,” said Charade Avondo, president of Xinyx Design.
“Our shared vision is to bring the entire development process here in the Philippines, ensuring our products will be built with local expertise and innovation. This partnership is a significant step toward strengthening the Philippine semiconductor industry,” he said.
The partnership will enhance the products and services offered by both companies, empowering their local engineers through product development collaboration. This aligns with the national government’s push to focus on the semiconductor and electronics industry, the country’s largest export industry, to position the country as a global player and a source of highly skilled engineers.
“We are very excited to be working with Xinyx,” said Jay Chavez, chief operating officer of Ionics EMS. “Our collaboration will give us stronger visibility on the world stage. Together we can do much more.”
