The airline offers twice-daily flights from Manila to Taipei and three weekly flights to Kaohsiung, ensuring convenient and affordable travel for Filipinos eager to experience Taiwan’s stunning cherry blossoms, which typically bloom until early April.

“Travel bookings consistently surge as winter begins, with demand remaining strong right through January and February—Taiwan’s peak cold season. It’s that time of the year where our guests are taking full advantage of the refreshing weather, and we’re here to make their journeys seamless and affordable for this special occasion,” Steve Dailisan, AirAsia Philippines communications and public affairs head said.

“We want our guests to come back not just with photos, but with stories that are truly priceless – and that’s something we’re incredibly proud to be part of,” he said.

Meanwhile, AirAsia’s commitment to delivering exceptional value and service has earned it the prestigious title of World’s Best Low-Cost Airline for 2025 by AirlineRatings.com. AirAsia has consistently ranked among the world’s best low-cost airlines by AirlineRatings.com since 2018.

“We are incredibly grateful to the team at arilineratings.com for recognizing AirAsia as the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline for 2025,” Ricky Isla, AirAsia Philippines chief executive said.

“ Recognitions like this remind us that our true focus will always be on evolving and finding new ways to deliver the best for our valued stakeholders from providing low fares, exceptional route network, and commitment to safety to maintaining a seven-star safety rating” he said.

Since its start in 2001 with just two aircraft, AirAsia has carried over 800 million guests and expanded its reach to over 130 destinations.

It carried 63 million passengers with an impressive 89 percent load factor in 2024, bolstered by a growing fleet of 205 aircraft.
