Green logistics provider Mober said Friday it launched the country’s first 100-percent electric tractor head truck, a major expansion of its electric vehicle (EV) fleet.
Mober founder and chief executive Dennis Ng said the latest addition to its fleet supports the company’s goal of operating 500 EV units by the end of the year.
“We’re proud to introduce the Philippines’ first 100-percent electric tractor head truck. This milestone underscores our commitment to transforming the logistics industry with sustainable transport solutions,” Ng said.
The new EV truck has an 18-ton payload capacity and can travel up to 220 kilometers on a single charge of its 282.6-kilowatt battery.
It fully charges in two hours at a 120-kilowatt fast DC charging station. Designed for large-scale logistics, the vehicle offers instant torque, quiet operation, and regenerative braking, enhancing efficiency while reducing environmental impact.
The Mober truck is positioned to meet the rising demand for eco-friendly mid- and last-mile delivery solutions across various industries, including retail and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
The logistics company continues to enhance its commercial EV capabilities with advanced technology solutions.
Its proprietary battery management system (BMS) enables real-time battery monitoring, predictive maintenance and extended fleet lifespan.
Meanwhile, its transport management system (TMS) optimizes delivery routes to minimize energy consumption and emissions while improving efficiency.
“We remain focused on growing our EV fleet and providing greener, more efficient delivery services to our partners and the Filipino people,” Ng said.
Mober operates a fully electric fleet and aims to lead the shift towards green logistics in Southeast Asia, starting with the Philippines.
