extended the federation’s appreciation to public school teachers, government personnel and volunteers, noting that their dedication reflects the enduring strength of Philippine democracy.

Lim said elections provide a crucial opportunity to reinforce political stability and pursue key economic reforms that can benefit all Filipinos.

“In these challenging times of global economic shifts, we urge our leaders to prioritize measures that will enhance our competitiveness: creating jobs, stabilizing prices, attracting investments, boosting exports, and modernizing agriculture,” Lim said.

“At FFCCCII, through our business and civic initiatives, we champion not just economic growth, but sustainable and inclusive development for our nation,” he said.

Lim also noted that although formal diplomatic ties between the Philippines and China were only established on June 9, 1975, the connection between the two nations is rooted in over a thousand years of shared history, trade, and cultural exchange.

He said that as close neighbors, the Philippines and China have long been partners in development.

“To remain competitive in ASEAN, the Philippines must strengthen trade, investments, infrastructure, tourism and technology cooperation with China—areas where we currently lag behind our regional neighbors,” he said.
