The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII), in cooperation with the Overseas Chinese Legal Assistance Center, is working with the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines to assist Chinese citizens aged 60 and above in renewing their passports or applying for a passport for the first time.
Elderly applicants may book their appointments through Nercy, the secretary of FFCCCII and the Legal Assistance Center, and should personally submit their application forms at the Chinese Embassy during its office hours.
Required information includes the applicant’s name, date of birth, contact number(s), current passport number and its expiration date.
FFCCCII and the Legal Assistance Center will also assist children aged 10 and below in applying for Chinese passports.
The federation also notifies all Filipino Chinese associations and their members that if a group includes more than 10 elderly individuals and/or children needing passport assistance, the organization will arrange transportation and help coordinate appointment scheduling with the Chinese Embassy.
The joint initiative aims to make passport services more accessible for the Chinese community in the Philippines, especially the elderly and young children.
