Tagaytay marks 87th anniv with 9 new facilities

TAGAYTAY CITY, CAVITE — Tagaytay City marked its 87th founding anniversary on June 21 with the inauguration of nine new public facilities aimed at boosting city services and infrastructure.

Among the newly opened projects were the New Tagaytay City Hall, a world-class velodrome, Tagaytay City Integrated School, the new City Health Office, and Character Hotel and Admin Building. Additional facilities included halfway houses, public safety centers, and barangay halls.

Outgoing Mayor Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino said the developments are part of a leadership legacy rooted in people-centered governance and care for the community. “This is our heritage — service with a heart,” he said.

Present at the ceremony were Cavite Governor Athena Tolentino, Congresswoman Aniela Tolentino, Mayor-elect Brent Tolentino, Vice Mayor Agnes Tolentino, and members of the city council.

The mayor emphasized that the new infrastructure reflects Tagaytay’s vision of being a future-ready, humane, and resilient city for generations to come.
