Puregold’s digital series Si Sol at si Luna featured SunKissed Lola’s hit song “HKP” in its latest episode, amplifying the emotional climax as protagonists Sol (Zaijian Jaranilla) and Luna (Jane Oineza) neared a long-awaited reunion.
The third episode, released ahead of Saturday’s new installment, closed with “HKP”’s lyrics—“Parang alanganin pang ika’y patawarin pa…”—as Sol finally spotted Luna at a bus stop after days of searching. The song’s themes of uncertain love mirror Luna’s grief over her late partner Andy and Sol’s unspoken feelings.
SunKissed Lola, known for viral tracks like “Pasilyo” and “Makalimutan Ka,” comprises vocalists Dan Ombao, Alvin Serito, and Laura Lacbain, with Danj Quimson (bass) and Genson Villoria (drums). “HKP”’s chorus—“Hanggang salita lang / Mahirap bang umasa sa wala?”—resonates with the series’ exploration of loss and longing.
“Music elevates the emotional core of Si Sol at si Luna,” said Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, Puregold’s senior marketing manager. “HKP captures Luna’s grief and Sol’s hope, asking ‘Huwag kang paasa.’”
