After first meeting Vince Lampert last year, I recently sat down with the dynamic executive director of Nay Palad Hideaway for an insightful conversation.
Tucked along the untouched shores of Siargao, Nay Palad Hideaway is a secluded haven of tailor-made luxury and transformative escapes.
Lampert’s visionary leadership has helped elevate the resort into one of the Philippines’ most coveted destinations for discerning travelers. Under his guidance, Nay Palad Hideaway has redefined barefoot luxury, blending world-class service with the untouched beauty of Siargao’s tropical paradise.
“My leadership style is both hands-on and empowering, fostering a culture where each team member feels valued, heard, and inspired to deliver service excellence with heart. I tend to champion collaboration over hierarchy, ensuring that the entire team—regardless of role—shares a common vision of creating a truly magical, barefoot-luxury experience,” shared Lampert.

His deep love for the environment and commitment to the resort’s sustainability are essential to preserving nature’s gifts for future generations.
Lampert continues, “I am also deeply committed to sustainability and community engagement, guiding the resort’s operations with a long-term view toward regenerative tourism and cultural preservation. By placing people and the planet at the core of every decision, I set a tone of integrity and responsibility that resonates through every part of Nay Palad Hideaway.”
With a background shaped by international experience and a deep passion for design, wellness, and sustainability, Lampert envisioned Nay Palad as a canvas to redefine luxury—as a means of freedom and profound emotional connection.

“What first drew me to Nay Palad Hideaway was its unique soul and setting—a rare harmony of raw natural beauty, cultural richness, and a vision of barefoot luxury that felt deeply human and intimate. More than a business opportunity, it was a chance to build something meaningful—a place where purpose and hospitality could coexist in balance with nature and community,” said Lampert.
Operating a luxury resort demands far more than impeccable service and breathtaking aesthetics. From maintaining flawless guest experiences amid staffing shortages to preserving delicate ecosystems while delivering five-star comfort, the obstacles can feel Herculean. Yet it is precisely this relentless pursuit of excellence against formidable odds that defines true luxury hospitality.
In 2021, after Typhoon Odette devastated Nay Palad Hideaway, Lampert led its full reconstruction—from rebuilding the team to overseeing training and reopening. It was a major challenge met with collective dedication.

Guests often make unusual requests, but the team meets them with creativity. For one anniversary, they recreated a couple’s first date: a European bistro dinner complete with local ingredients, a mangrove boardwalk setup, and live music. The couple was moved to tears—a testament to the team’s commitment to crafting unforgettable moments.
Pioneering “barefoot luxury” in the region, Nay Palad offers effortless elegance rooted in nature and genuine care. There are no set menus or schedules—just intuitive service shaped around each guest’s pace and desires, from moonlit feasts to spontaneous island adventures.
Vince Lampert leads Nay Palad Hideaway with the same intuitive spirit that defines the resort itself—where foresight meets flexibility, and every detail serves a deeper sense of human connection. Under his guidance, luxury isn’t scripted; it’s alive.
