Property developer Megaworld has earmarked P2.5 billion to redevelop Eastwood City, its 18.5-hectare mixed-use estate in Quezon City.
“Eastwood City holds a special place in our history as Megaworld’s very first township, and this redevelopment reflects our commitment to keeping it vibrant, relevant, and future-ready,” said Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso, president of Megaworld.
“We are not only preserving its legacy but also reinventing it into a township of the future — setting an even higher standard for integrated urban living.”
Launched 28 years ago, Eastwood City’s redevelopment focuses on upgrading key areas that have been in place for years.
Ongoing improvements include the Eastwood Citywalk, Eastwood Mall, and the Eastwood Mall Open Park. The Eastwood Richmonde Hotel is also being enhanced, while office towers are being refurbished in phases, starting with IBM Plaza.
Megaworld said upgrades will soon be rolled out for other office and residential towers, including improvements to lobbies, facilities and amenities.
Eastwood Mall, the township’s premier lifestyle mall, has already seen major changes. The mall now features refreshed interiors, upgraded cinemas and a new tenant mix. It also houses the country’s first SuperPark Philippines, an indoor activity park from Finland.
Renovation work has also been completed at Eastwood Citywalk. The area’s old cinema has been converted into the REP Eastwood Theater, home to Repertory Philippines. The fourth floor has been transformed into a modern Food Park with new dining options and updated interiors.
Meanwhile, Eastwood’s public spaces are also being improved. The Eastwood Mall Open Park will soon feature new lifestyle and dining brands.
Eastwood City, launched in 1997, is the country’s first IT cyberpark. To date, the township is home to 23 residential towers, 11 office buildings and three lifestyle malls, along with about 500 restaurants and shops.
