GMA Public Affairs’ hit action-adventure series Lolong: Pangil ng Maynila is set to deliver an adrenaline-fueled conclusion as it airs its grand finale on June 13, capping off a successful run filled with intense drama and high-octane sequences.
In the final episodes, protagonist Lolong (Ruru Madrid) risks everything to protect his loved ones, while Elsie (Shaira Diaz) faces renewed danger as she falls back into the clutches of the menacing Ivan (Martin del Rosario).
Adding to the suspense, Dakila, Lolong’s formidable crocodile ally, makes a crucial return, shifting the tide in the climactic battle between good and evil.
In an interview, Ruru teased nostalgic callbacks to the show’s first season, promising never-before-seen sequences.
“There’s a particular scene that feels very reminiscent of Season 1, but with a fresh twist—something I’ve never witnessed before in my life,” he said.
Ruru also shared how the role transformed him, both as an artist and as an individual. “Lolong changed my life—not just my craft, but my character. Despite injuries, the pandemic, and other setbacks, this role gave me the strength to keep pushing forward.”
The ensemble cast includes veteran actors Jean Garcia, Tessie Tomas, Rowell Santiago, and rising stars Shaira Diaz, Martin del Rosario, Rabiya Mateo, and Sienna Stevens, among others.
