Groups vow to continue PH-China ties promotion

The Philippine Amity Club delegation, led by its president Cai Ming Feng, paid a courtesy visit to the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) on May 27, 2025.

FFCCCII President Victor Lim commended the Philippine Amity Club as a patriotic organization that has long been committed to fostering mutual understanding and strengthening the bond between the Philippines and China.

He said the club has played a significant role in the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Lim also expressed hope for deeper cooperation between FFCCCII and the Philippine Amity Club, particularly in promoting people-to-people diplomacy and achieving greater recognition from mainstream society.

Cai said it was an honor to visit FFCCCII, a respected and leading organization within the Filipino-Chinese community.

He lauded FFCCCII for its continuous efforts in promoting PH-China friendship, supporting education, providing disaster relief, and championing various social welfare initiatives.

Cai said the Philippine Amity Club was founded in 1974 and has grown over the past 51 years to include 26 chapters and over 10,000 members across the country.

The two organizations also discussed collaborative plans for the joint celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and China, emphasizing the importance of cultural and civic exchanges to further deepen bilateral ties.
