The National Privacy Commission (NPC) and Singapore-based Straits Interactive signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) to strengthen data privacy and protection initiatives in the Philippines.
The partnership aims to boost the Philippines’ compliance with international data protection standards. Straits Interactive, a leader in data protection, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), and generative AI solutions, will provide resources and expertise to the NPC.

The collaboration will focus on knowledge sharing, capability-building, and research in data protection and generative AI. A key part of the initiative is providing NPC personnel with beta access to Straits Interactive’s proprietary generative AI tool, the AI DPO Assistant (Philippines).
