Cruise Line stalwart opens new medical facility in Manila to support Filipino seafarers

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH), in partnership with CF Sharp Crew Management, Inc., formally inaugurated its brand-new medical facility in Pasay City today, reaffirming its commitment to the health and welfare of its global maritime workforce, particularly Filipino seafarers.

Located at Trium Square Plaza along Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue, the 674-square-meter NCLH Medical Clinic is designed to streamline medical processes for NCLH crew members, enabling faster and more efficient pre-employment screenings.

“This clinic is a testament to how much we value our people,” said Dr. Carlos J. Gonzalez, Chief Medical Officer of NCLH. “It allows our crew to complete their medical requirements quickly, reducing delays in deployment and helping them return to work—and to sea—with ease. In doing so, we also strengthen the quality of service on board our ships.”

Fully equipped with specialized departments for dental, x-ray, optical, ECG, and clinical laboratory services, the facility is expected to serve hundreds of crew members each month.

With a significant portion of NCLH’s workforce coming from the Philippines, the new medical hub stands to benefit thousands of Filipino seafarers whose careers and livelihoods rely on timely and thorough medical clearance.

The event underscored NCLH’s long-standing ties with the Philippines and its continued investment in enhancing crew care.
