Actor TJ Trinidad made a surprise visit to the set of the historical biopic Quezon on Saturday, April 26, where he shared a warm hug and words of encouragement with lead actor Jericho Rosales.
Trinidad had briefly portrayed Manuel L. Quezon in the final scene of Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, but had to step away from continuing the role due to personal commitments. Earlier this year, TBA Studios, known for producing Heneral Luna and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, announced Rosales as the new actor for the role of the first president of the Commonwealth of the Philippines.
Although no longer part of the project, Trinidad expressed his full support for the film, congratulating Rosales and Benjamin Alves, who previously portrayed the younger Quezon in Heneral Luna and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral.
Filming for Quezon is still underway, with a planned theatrical release both locally and internationally later this year.
