PCC to boost capabilities with new case management system from Korea

The Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) is boosting its processing capabilities with a new case management system donated by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

PCC chairperson Michael Aguinaldo, South Korean Ambassador to the Philippines Lee Sang-Hwa and KOICA Philippines country director Jung Youngsun led the turnover ceremony held on April 23 at the PCC office in Quezon City.

Aguinaldo said the system would provide a faster, simpler and more secure way for the public to report potential anti-competitive practices.

“This new system marks a major step toward empowering the public to help ensure a fair and competitive marketplace. We are sincerely grateful to KOICA for their support in this vital initiative,” he said.

The system replaces the current email-based reporting process with a more efficient platform that allows users to directly submit reports and upload documents via the PCC website. Public access details will be announced soon.

As the country’s antitrust authority, the PCC enforces the Philippine Competition Act (R.A. No. 10667), which prohibits anti-competitive conduct and ensures a level playing field for businesses while safeguarding consumer welfare.
