Toyota PH remits P43.9b in duties, taxes

Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. received two recognitions for its significant contributions to the nation’s economy and environmental sustainability in 2024.

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) named TMP the country’s second top duties and tax contributor, while the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) – Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) acknowledged the company as a key partner in environmental stewardship.

TMP recorded a substantial remittance of P43.91 billion in duties and taxes for 2024. This represented slight increase from the P43.90 billion it remitted in 2023, showcasing TMP’s continued robust economic performance.

The BOC, with the presence of Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., honored TMP during its 123rd founding anniversary celebration at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City.

TMP’s business encompasses automotive manufacturing, sales, and distribution, involving key BOC ports such as the Port of Batangas (POB), Manila International Container Port (MICP), and Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
