ACMobility expands EV charging infra

ACMobility, the mobility solutions arm of the Ayala Group, said it is expanding its electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the Makati central business district with a total of 74 charging points expected to be fully operational by end-March 2025.

ACMobility said in a statement it teamed up with Ayala Land Inc. and the Makati Central Estate Association (MACEA) to add 27 more stations, including 19 DC (direct current) fast chargers in Makati.

The network will span 18 locations including offices, malls and condominiums, offering enhanced access to state-of-the-art EV charging stations for both residents and visitors.

The expansion marks a significant step in Makati’s evolution as a hub for sustainable mobility. It is also part of ACMobility’s mission to accelerate the Philippines’ transition to electrified transportation.

Several of these charging points will be available 24/7, ensuring that Makati’s residents and visitors have convenient access to reliable charging, further cementing the city’s commitment to a greener, more connected future.

“ACMobility is excited to enhance Makati’s mobility infrastructure with a comprehensive charging network, ensuring convenient and efficient solutions for residents and visitors,” said ACMobility chief executive Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala.

ACMobility now operates 47 charging points across Makati in key locations such as Valero 2, Dela Rosa 1 and the Makati Stock Exchange.

“We are proud to support Makati’s transformation into a benchmark for sustainable urban mobility,” said Carla Buencamino, head of mobility infrastructure at ACMobility.

“This is just the beginning, and we look forward to bringing the same level of commitment and innovation to other cities across the country, ensuring that the EV infrastructure keeps pace with the growing adoption of electric vehicles and sets the stage for a cleaner, more connected future for all,” said Buencamino.

Since 2023, the Ayala Group has been investing in the development of electric vehicle charging stations to create a sustainable ecosystem as the Philippines transitions to electrified mobility.

ACMobility manages multiple EV charging hubs primarily located in Luzon, with a growing presence in Visayas and Mindanao.
