The 2025 Mister and Miss Chinatown Global (MMCG) pageant concluded on Jan. 20 with the crowning of Byron Sng from Malaysia and Khryss Go from the Philippines as grand winners.


The competition, which celebrates Filipino-Chinese heritage and cultural unity, featured a series of events and activities from Jan. 15 to 18, with contestants visiting Binondo, the world’s oldest Chinatown, and Baguio City.
In Binondo, participants explored Filipino-Chinese culture, history, and cuisine through visits to temples, historical landmarks, and local eateries.
In Baguio, contestants toured popular spots like Burnham Park, Mines View Park, and the Strawberry Farm while immersing themselves in the mountain city’s rich cultural heritage.
A special Culture Night on Jan. 17 showcased traditional Filipino costumes in partnership with local organizations, including the Association of Baguio Chinese Filipino Youth Inc.

The competition culminated on Jan. 20 at the Hilton Manila, Newport World Resorts, hosted by Janeena Chan and Nicole Cordoves. South Korean rapper and singer Kim Won Shik, also known as Ravi, performed during the event.
Ravi, recognized for his work on the theme song of the Philippine adaptation of What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, won the Best Theme Song award at the 29th Asian Television Awards.
The crowning ceremony featured intricate crowns designed by a Hong Kong jewelry manufacturer, symbolizing Confucian values of harmony, loyalty, and wisdom. Awards included the People’s Choice Award, presented by Eventista, and recognition for the top five contestants.
Winners also included 1st runner-up Aragon Jacob Yu Lor of the Philippines and Julianne Louie of Hong Kong.
The MMCG pageant aims to empower the next generation of leaders in the global Chinese diaspora while promoting heritage and unity. It concluded with Winners’ Night coinciding with Chinese New Year celebrations.
The inaugural Mister and Miss Chinatown Global was organized by CHiNOY TV and the Federation of Filipino Chinese Association of the Philippines Foundation Inc., and was presented by Oishi and Hilton Manila at Newport World Resorts.
