Telecom restoration

Members of PLDT and Smart network operations group share the challenges behind the restoration of telecom services in Batanes following the onslaught of supertyphoon ‘Julian’. The team hoisted a microwave antenna (MWA) in Batanes, replacing the antennas damaged due to the typhoon. Network restoration continues despite the challenges in transporting people and equipment, and the changing weather conditions on the mountainous island province.
