SB Cap signs deals with foreign banks

SB Capital Investment Corp., the investment banking arm of Security Bank Corp., signed separate service agreements with the Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsri) and MUFG Securities Asia to bolster its global reach.

The agreements are seen to enhance the promotion of onshore and offshore business opportunities for the bank’s inbound and outbound clients.

MUFG is the largest financial institution in Japan and has a 20-percent stake in Security Bank―with both leveraging on their combined networks and capabilities to collaborate on various initiatives. Krungsri is Thailand’s fifth largest bank and is a partner of Security Bank through MUFG.

SB Capital, together with Krungsri, will provide merger and acquisition advisory services to capture cross-border M&A opportunities, similar to its existing arrangement with MUFG.
