Karl Eldrew Yulo, the younger brother of Paris Olympics’ double-gold medalist Carlos Yulo, is contention for a bronze medal in the junior men’s individual all-around event at the 2025 Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships in Jecheon, South Korea on Friday.
The 16-year-old Karl Eldrew totalled 75.698 points, behind two Kazakh rivals, led by Roman Khegay with 78.23 points in the ongoing rotations. Nurtan Idrissov is in second with 76.465 points.
The younger Yulo got his highest score in the floor exercises with 13.353 points.
On Thursday, the elder Yulo tallied 83.633 points for a bronze behind silver medalist Tsuyoshi Hasegawa (83.967 points) and Olympic all-around champion Shinnosuke Oka (85.134 points), both from Japan. Shinnosuke took the crown.
Carlos will compete for a medal in the apparatus events on Saturday and Sunday.
