Los Angeles (AFP) — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 35 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder came from behind to defeat the Indiana Pacers 111-104 and level the NBA Finals at 2-2 on Friday.

NBA Most Valuable Player Gilgeous-Alexander was frustrated for long periods in the face of a superb defensive effort from Indiana.

But the Canadian star finally made his mark in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter, nailing a crucial three-pointer to get Oklahoma City within one point with just under three minutes remaining.

Gilgeous-Alexander followed that up with a masterful step-back jump shot to give Oklahoma City their first lead of the second half with 2min and 21sec left on the clock.

Once in front, the Thunder never relinquished their hard-won lead, and closed out victory to leave the Indianapolis home crowd in stunned silence.
