RONNE Malipay ruled the men’s triple jump on Thursday at the 85th Singapore Open Track and Field Championships 2025.
The 29-year-old Malipay cleared 15.49 meters to claim the gold medal, with his performance coming within range of the 15.66 meters he did in the PATAFA weekly relays last October.
Malipay finished ahead of Singapore’s Gabriel Lee (15.2 meters) and Yuito Sueto of Kansai Unive (14.76).
Alfrence Braza grabbed the silver medal in the men’s 1500m run open, with his clocking of 3:56.25.
Braza trailed behind gold winner Yad Hapizudin of Indonesia, who was first at 3:53.99.
Hong Kong’s Mohammad Kamran Khan (3:57.35) settled for the bronze.
Clinton Bautista clocked 14.36 seconds in the heats of the men’s 100-meter sprints and took fourth at 14.44 seconds.
Ang Chen Xiang of Singapore grabbed the gold in reaching the finish line at 13.8 seconds.
Liu Hiu Long and Cheung Siu Hang earned the silver and bronze with times of 13.83 and 13.96 seconds, respectively.
Anfernee Lopena was fifth at 10.74 in the men’s 100-meter finals, with Marc Louis of Singapore taking the gold at 10.49 seconds.
Thawatchai Himaiad of Thailand and Soraoat Dapdang claimed the silver and bronze with their times of 10.52 and 10.7 seconds, respectively.
