Over 50,000 senior residents of Novaliches, Quezon City’s 5th district, supported the candidacy of the Senior Citizens party-list.
“This is our own way of achieving what we have dreamed for as seniors,” said Louie Laoit, president of the Liga ng mga Senior Citizen.

Laoit said they saw in party-list Rep. Ompon Ordanes a true public servant who represented their sector in Congress.
According to Renato Briones, league secretary, there are over 50,000 senior citizen in their district, composed of different organizations from 14 barangays.
Briones said in their village alone — Barangay Gulod — there are 37 senior citizen chapter organizations that will be supporting the party-list in the midterm polls.
