DSWD one-stop shop ‘Serbilis’ series to offer gov’t services to agency personnel

The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Human Resource Management and Development Service (HRMDS) is set to open another one-stop shop “Serbilis” series as part of its continuing commitment to support the welfare of its employees and institutional contractors.

“This one-stop-shop Serbilis aims to bring services from key national government agencies (NGAs) and government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) directly to the doorsteps of the DSWD Central Office,” Social Welfare Assistant Secretary and spokesperson Irene Dumlao said.

The one-stop shop will be held from April 22 to 24 at the Central Office’s New Lobby in Magiliw Building, Batasan, Quezon City.

Dumlao said this initiative is in partnership with agencies such as the Pag-IBIG Fund, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), the Social Security System (SSS), the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost), and the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO).

The Serbilis series is open to DSWD employees, institutional contractors such as security guards and maintenance workers, and their family members.

The three-day activity will enable participants to access essential government services, process applications and registrations, request clearances and documents, access free legal assistance, and avail themselves of membership and loan services without leaving their workplaces.

“By eliminating logistical barriers, the DSWD aims to ease the burden of time and cost usually associated with going to government offices and availing of these services. Our personnel no longer have to take a leave,” Dumlao said.
