DFA condemns N. Korea latest missile launch

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has condemned North Korea’s latest ballistic missile launches.

“The Philippines voices grave concern and vehemently denounces the recent ballistic missile launches executed by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK),” the DFA in a statement said.

On March 10, news reports confirmed North Korea’s firing of multiple missiles from its western territory into the Yellow Sea, a reaction to joint military drills held by South Korea and the United States.

Manila warned Pyongyang that “these provocative acts jeopardize economic advancement, peace, and stability across the Korean Peninsula and the Indo-Pacific area.”

The DFA restated its appeal to the DPRK “to immediately halt these actions and comply with all international duties, including pertinent UN Security Council Resolutions, and to engage in peaceful and constructive discussions.”
