BATANGAS Gov. Hermilando Mandanas on Thursday stressed the crucial role of educational assistance programs, saying having educated voters in the future is an investment.
Speaking before the Kapihan sa Klub Inc., Mandanas pointed out that educating the youth “will produce an informed and intelligent citizenry, and would allow the election of the right people in the government.”
What should be taught must not only include those that are inside a book, but also the values that will make them good in the future. This will help build a society that is godly, humane, and nationalistic said Mandanas, who is running for vice governor in the upcoming May elections.
He underscored that having educated men and women in the society will help address social problems, such as corruption which is very rampant especially during election season.
