GCash supports collective action against cyberfraud

Heightened vigilance and prompt reporting among users are key to the success of anti-scam initiatives, according to GCash, the country’s leading financial super app and cashless ecosystem.

GCash reaffirmed its commitment to collaboration with customers, stakeholders, and law enforcement to ensure a safe and secure digital economy.

GCash has invested in cutting-edge security technologies such as DoubleSafe that utilizes face ID technology.

It also rolled out its customer education campaign #GSafe Tayo, which aims to continuously inform users on how to identify and avoid scams, complements these tech investments.

“As cybercriminals continue to evolve in sophistication, our company has adopted a two-pronged approach: We provide our customers with the necessary information and resources to protect themselves, and we remain committed to investing in cutting-edge technologies to ensure secure and effortless transactions,” said GCash chief information and security officer (CISO) Miguel Geronilla.
