The Coast Guard District Palawan (CGDPAL) said it has been continuously assisting families affected by severe flooding in different areas in Puerto Princesa City since February 9.
A total of 108 families and 30 individuals from seven barangays of Puerto Princesa were rescued due to severe flooding because of continuous heavy rainfall.
The rescued individuals were all in good physical condition and were brought to the respective evacuation areas of their barangay.
Below are the names of barangays in Puerto Princesa City that are experiencing severe flooding:
1. Barangay San Manuel; 2. Barangay San Pedro; 3. Barangay Bancao-Bancao; 4. Barangay San Jose; 5. Barangay Sicsican; 6. Barangay Irawan; and 7. Wescom Road.
The CGDPAL said they remain focused on ensuring public safety, conducting rescue operations as needed, and providing immediate assistance to affected families and individuals.
