THE United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) has devised an online system of registration to centralize and monitor the issuance of identification cards among its members and community supporters.
At the sidelight of the UBJP officials’ meeting with party supporters on Thursday, Bangsamoro Education Minister Mohagher Iqbal said the party will put up a good fight against the more established local political leadership, particularly in the mainland Mindanao provinces of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Dr. Zulqurnyn Abas, executive secretary to UBJP President Ahod Balawag Ebrahim, said membership registration with the party will be open through online links provided by the party for its network of community-based members and supporters.
Iqbal said the system has been particularly developed to build a validated database system for its network of members, particularly in BARMM provinces geographically situated in Central Mindanao.
He said the party will stand up to build a stronger platform of sustainable education programs for the Bangsamoro youth.
Abas said multiple entries of different names but from the same barangays will be allowed using one mobile SIM Card No., considering the difficulty in obtaining Wi-Fi signals in many interior areas.
In the Bangsamoro Parliament, Iqbal is the principal author of Bangsamoro Parliamentary Act Nos. 190 and 191 creating the municipalities of Datu Balabaran Sinsuat and Sheikh Abas Hamza out of the present Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte’s biggest municipality which remained undivided in decades from its old name Dalican. The old Dalican was renamed Dinaig, and later to the Municipality of Datu Odin Sinsuat.
On the petition of the Sinsuats, the Supreme Court has halted the plebiscite to ratify both regional laws, by directing the Commission on Elections to defer the polling.
However, in Sultan Kudarat, Mayor Datu Tocao Mastura is the UBJP standard bearer for the UBJP in the gubernatorial race in Maguindanao del Norte.
The SC order also served in favor of the stand of the Masturas against the creation of Nuling Municipality, the old name of Sultan Kudarat town.
