Ex-judge launches book of poems by dad, brod

Judge Hilario Laqui (ret.) launched on Saturday afternoon a book embodying a collection of poems written by his father and a brother from Cuenca, Batangas province.

The book, titled “Tilamsik ng Diwa,” was actually a compilation of poems authored by his fther Apolonio and brother Mario.

Laqui, president of the Association of Retired RTC Judges of the Philippines Inc., said he was proud of the literary creations of his father and a brother that should be endowed to the younger generations.

“I hope that this book will inspire the youth to continue writing and reciting poems that tell stories, teach lessons, and instill values. Our culture and tradition must continue,” Laqui told the Manila Standard.
