34 Chinese nationals deported over online gambling, scams

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) deported 34 Chinese nationals on December 12 for their involvement in illegal online gaming and scamming activities.

This operation targeted individuals previously arrested at the Royal Corporation Xisheng IT, Lucky South 99 Outsourcing, and Royal Park.

The deportees faced multiple charges, including being undocumented and working without the necessary visas or permits.

They had been held at the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) facility after being caught in illegal online gaming operations.

The group was deported on a Philippine Airlines flight to Xiamen from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.

BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado highlighted the agency’s commitment to enforcing immigration laws and combating illegal activities.

“This deportation is a testament to the Bureau’s resolve in enforcing our immigration laws. We will continue to pursue operations like this to protect the country’s sovereignty and uphold the dignity of those victimized by these schemes,” said Viado.

All 34 individuals were placed on the BI’s blacklist, permanently barring them from re-entering the Philippines.
