The Philippine Military Academy (PMA), through the Headquarters Academic Group, hosted the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) from December 3 to 6, 2024.
During this period, PhilSA conducted in-house training for the military and civilian faculty of the Academy on “Space Capabilities in Support of Warfighting Functions.”
This initiative aims to enhance the current PMA curriculum by integrating modern technologies relevant to today’s security environment.
The integration also supports the implementation of the Department of National Defense’s Comprehensive Archipelagic Defense Concept (CADC).
Additionally, the training provided PMA faculty members and cadets with a foundational understanding of space warfare concepts, including the strategic importance of space in national security and defense.
All these efforts are directed towards future-proofing PMA graduates, equipping them with the 21st-century skills necessary to combat the asymmetric threats posed by modern warfare.
