Army Chief Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido emphasized the significance of establishing well-defined parameters for evaluating the performance of trainees during both individual and unit training sessions.

In his keynote address, the Army Chief tasked the Training Command with preparing for division-sized training exercises that align with the overall transition to territorial defense operations.

He also underscored the necessity of moving and sustaining large-scale combat forces, a process that commenced with this year’s inaugural iteration of the Philippine Army-wide Combined-Arms Training Exercise (CATEX) Katihan.

The annual event is anchored on the theme: “Adapting Excellence: Strengthening the Philippine Army’s Education and Training for Evolving Territorial Defense Challenges.”
